Go-To Green Smoothie Recipe

It’s no secret that getting kids to eat vegetables is HARD. They are just naturally repulsed by anything green or oddly shaped, am I right? Well luckily my kids absolutely inhale these green smoothies which have copious amounts of spinach in them, but still taste like a tropical juice. Yum! I’ve been trying to make these every morning and I feel good about sending them off to school with a full belly of fruits and vegetables. Hope you enjoy!

first, start off with a couple heaping handfuls of spinach, then add ¬†almond milk. I use (unsweetened) vanilla almond milk because…well, I like it! haha. But regular almond milk or even regular milk would work.go-to kid friendly smoothie recipe go-to kid friendly smoothie recipe

Add a really ripe banana. The riper, the better! Then blend those three ingredients.go-to kid friendly smoothie recipe

Finally, add 2 cups each of mixed berries and mango chunks–both frozen–and blend until the fruit is completely incorporated. You might need to add a few more splashes of the almond milk at this point if it’s too thick and the blender is struggling.
